About us

Standing alongside our neighbours, one community at a time.

Destiny Africa Community began with a small group of volunteers serving meals in a London church hall — and a conviction that nobody should face hardship alone.

Our story

We were founded by a community of people from the African diaspora who had themselves known what it meant to arrive somewhere new, alone and uncertain. That experience became our mission: to make sure nobody in our adopted communities ever has to face hardship on their own.

Today, our programmes reach thousands of people across the UK — through food hubs, homeless outreach, mental health support, refugee welcome services and community projects that build long-term resilience in some of the country's hardest-hit neighbourhoods.

We're still small enough to know our neighbours by name. We intend to stay that way.
